Common questions
Pricing, Quotes and the $65 Off
Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?
Because the lowest quote on the phone and the fairest price on the day aren't always the same thing. We'd rather quote honestly and stand behind it than win the job on a promise we can't keep.
Is the quote really free?
Yes, every quote is free and fixed before any work starts. There's no charge just to have a licensed plumber look at the problem, and no obligation to go ahead.
What payment options do you offer?
We'll run through the options with you once the job's quoted, so you're never guessing how you'll pay before you even know the price. Payment is due once the work's complete.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No, the call-out itself is $0, full stop, whether you decide to proceed or not.
Common questions
The Legal Stuff, Made Simple
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
There's a legal boundary called the point of connection: your pipework is your problem, the main down the street is Sydney Water's. On site, we'll identify which one applies to you.
What is your lifetime labour warranty?
Every job we do carries an unconditional guarantee on the labour, indefinitely. Should our work fail, we return and fix it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, NSW plumbing licence #465156C, fully insured, and every plumber we send holds current credentials. You can check the licence yourself at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au.
Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?
For the basics, like shutting the water off at the mains or getting clear of a gas smell, yes, and you should. Anything past that is licensed work in NSW, and getting it wrong can make the damage worse.
Common questions
Response, Timing and Booking
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
Yes, every day of the year, including public holidays. Plumbing trouble doesn't check a calendar and neither do we.
How do I know if it's actually an emergency?
If it's actively damaging the house or risking safety, a burst pipe, sewage backing up, no hot water, or a gas smell, treat it as one. If you're unsure, call anyway; we'd rather help you work it out than have you guess.
How fast can you get here?
Fast enough that a real person is already on the phone with you, working out what's needed and getting a plumber moving. We won't promise a slot we can't actually hold to.
What happens after I call?
We ask what's going on, book a licensed plumber to attend, and confirm the cause on site. You approve a fixed price before anything's touched, and the labour's backed for life once it's done.
Common questions
Local Answers for Northmead
What suburbs do you service around Northmead?
Parramatta, Winston Hills, Westmead, Baulkham Hills and North Rocks, alongside Northmead itself. If your street isn't on that list, ask anyway; we cover more ground than fits neatly on one page.
Do you handle strata and units in Northmead?
Regularly. The townhouses and apartments built since the mid-2000s, especially near Windsor Road, generate their own steady run of shared hot water and stack-related calls.
Do you take on local new builds and renovation work?
Yes, alongside emergency repairs. New builds and renovations need the same licensed plumbing and gas work as anything else, just planned rather than urgent.
Why do Northmead's older homes get plumbing emergencies?
A lot of the post-war brick and fibro housing is still running original or first-replacement pipes and hot water systems, decades past when they were installed. That stock doesn't fail gradually; it tends to go all at once.
